Editing
After i completed all the filming i began editing my music video. I needed help at first from my teacher but i soon got the hang of using iMovie. I used various techniques in my music video so far such as cut pieces from a particular scene, syncing the music and get the lipsyncing right and in time with the music. I have used various transitions such as overlaps and dissolves to make the music video smooth, I have also used video effects in my music video such as changing the colour of a particular scene to show that it is a flashback. The music video is about 3:30 long and i have so far done 2:48 and is at a good standard to what it was before I plan on finishing editing very soon after half term.

Filming Finally!!!!!
I finally got some filming done today which i am very pleased about. The weather was good and made the overall scene look better. Jack helped with being in the video and it was alot easier with him helping. I plan on filming again tomorrow and getting alot done, i also plan on editing for the first time tomorrow aswell. I did alot of lip syncing aswell in different parts of central park aswell, i used different shots such as close ups and mid shots for the scene, I wasnt able to get alot of filming done as the girl that was suppose to filming wasnt able to be there but as i said before i hope to get the rest done tomorrow and to start some editing very soon.

TV
Another thing that needs to be considered with the music video is how it will be shown on TV. I already identified my target audience earlier and examples of magazine advertising but how it is shown on TV is something that needs to be taken into account. The type of music video is Indie Rock and so i think that the music video should be shown on MTV TWO as this is a channel that shows rock music only and it is most likely that this target audience will be watching music stations like MTV TWO and Kerrang. The time slot for when the music should be shown on TV will at any time during the day from 4pm in the afternoon to 10pm at night as people are always switching between music stations and listening to different music so it should be showed several times during the day.

Research into Artists

The Colours are a Indie Rock band which consits of 3 members Tom Newman who does the Bass and Synths, Tom Pickford who does the lead vocal and keyboards and Tony Folland who does the drums. They are manged and promoted by Ready Sounds Ltd who were set up in 2007. Johnn Earls from Planet Sound has also said that Tom Pickford who does lead vocals is "no Chris Martin, he'sfar better than that, calling to mind Robert Plant in his pomp." He also had this to say about The Colours "If this band aren't on the national consciousness by the end of the year then I'll find an old hat and eat it."
The Colours have done various tours and did a 2008 Autumn Tour that went on into January 2009 and did a hetic festival season that featured their new sound and material at GUILFEST, REDFEST, WEYFEST and VIBES FROM THE VINES over the summer of 2009. Target Audience
I had been looking for the right song for my music video which i found with The Colours song "Tonight I let you go" but i now had to figure out who my target audience would be and wasnt quite sure who.
I found out that The Colours are an Indies Rock band so my target audience would be people who are fans of indie music. It would also mainly be targeted at young people from ages 15-20 as thi would also be the ages of people in my music video. It would be targeted at people who dress like Indie rockers aswell it may not nescessarily be the dress sense in the music video but will still appeal to that target audience. The digipack and the magazine advert will also help contribute to reach this specific target audience.
NME Magazine advertising
The New Musical Express is a popular music magazine in the United Kingdom that has been published since March 1952. It magazine advertising is an example that I can use when designing the magazine for my music video. This will help give me ideas on how to advertise my magazine and make it look attractive to people.
